Science Picnic Astrobaza Włocławek | Województwo Kujawsko-Pomorskie

In Włocławek, participants of the science picnic can enjoy unique attractions: solar observations through telescopes, shows in a mobile planetarium, spectacular experiments, rocket workshops, and a cosmic basketball game with Anwil players. We meet on the boulevards and at the premises of the Marshal’s Office representation at Bechiego Street. The event, organized by the Marshal’s cultural institution – the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Centre for Education and Innovation – is attended by Marek Wojtkowski, Member of the Regional Executive Board.

A stellar program of attractions

Visitors can enjoy, among other things:
• shows in the mobile planetarium Syriusz
• creative workshops “Create Your Own Universe”
• experiments using Martian ice
• a cosmic basketball game with Anwil Włocławek players
• rocket workshops and a Mars rover presentation
• solar observations through Astrobaza Kopernik telescopes
• meetings with scientists
• outdoor games and activities for children

There is also a cosmic treat for all participants.

A picnic full of guests

More than 600 students from 20 schools in Włocławek and the surrounding area took part in the science picnic. The event takes place near the building at Stodólna 70, which will soon become the Marshal’s educational centre – alongside similar facilities in Inowrocław and Grudziądz.

Astronomy within reach

The picnic format has proven highly successful. Previously, the event was hosted in Toruń during the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Festival, then in Bydgoszcz’s Rother’s Mills, which for one day transformed into a center of cosmic discoveries. Now the picnic enlivens Włocławek, bringing the activities of the Astrobaza Kopernik network closer to children and young people.
