Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Anwil President Konrad Tajduś, and Włocławek Mayor Krzysztof Kukucki today (September 18) signed a letter of intent concerning the takeover of the Zarzeczewo marina on the Włocławek Reservoir by the regional government.

– We intend to buy the Zarzeczewo marina from Anwil, and the letter of intent is the first step in this direction. I hope to finalize the transaction later this year, once all legal issues are settled and, of course, after price negotiations. The next steps will include preparing a functional and utility program for the future regional water sports center to be located here and investing substantial funds. We want this beautiful place to continue serving the residents of Włocławek and the sailors who visit it, emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

– The Zarzeczewo Marina is an important place for Anwil. We want it to have a stable, responsible host with vision and investment capacity. We combine business activities with real social responsibility. We listen to the voice of the residents and cooperate with local governments to jointly develop lasting and valuable solutions, said Anwil President Konrad Tajduś.

The Zarzeczewo Marina in Włocławek was built in the mid-1970s. From the very beginning, the facility was connected with the development of the Włocławek Nitrogen Plant (today Anwil, part of the Orlen Group). The planned takeover of the yacht marina, located in a small bay, by the regional government is a response to the expectations of the local community and the sailing community associated with the marina. The future regional water sports center will, among other activities, provide sailing training.
