EFKP and NRP: volunteer fire stations, outpatient clinics, urban revitalization, energy modernization, water supply systems

Yesterday (September 15), beneficiaries of our regional program European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie (EFKP) and the National Recovery Plan (NRP) received contracts worth nearly 30 million PLN in total at the Marshal’s Office. Among the co-financed projects are investments in the infrastructure of emergency services, including the modernization and expansion of volunteer fire stations.

It was precisely these kinds of initiatives that Vice-Marshal of the Voivodeship, Aneta Jędrzejewska, highlighted in her speech during the ceremony. “Our region was the first to show that it is possible and worthwhile to support those who save our health and lives in dangerous situations. In this financial perspective, we are investing in their facilities—places where firefighters can wash and change clothes after interventions,” she emphasized.

A large portion of the funds also went to entities providing outpatient medical care. Beneficiaries include the Regional Specialist Hospital in Włocławek (PLN 500,000 for equipment and medical apparatus), the Municipal Specialist Clinic in Toruń (PLN 500,000 for modernization and equipment purchase), and the Eskulap Hospital in Osielsko near Bydgoszcz (PLN 500,000 for the modernization of the urology department).

Funds from the NRP for the construction and modernization of water supply systems were granted to the municipalities of Świedziebnia and Jabłonowo Pomorskie in Brodnica County, as well as the municipality of Łubianka in Toruń County.

Today’s meeting with the beneficiaries was also attended by Voivodeship Board members Dariusz Kurzawa and Marek Wojtkowski, as well as Regional Assembly member Przemysław Ziemecki.
