The regional government is intensively developing sports infrastructure – this year, a total of nearly PLN 7 million has been allocated for the construction of new gyms, sports fields, outdoor gyms and activity zones. Today (10 September), a modern sports hall at School and Kindergarten Complex No. 3 in Brodnica was officially opened. The symbolic ribbon was cut jointly by Marek Wojtkowski, a member of the regional board, and representatives of the local authorities.

The new sports hall, with an area of over 2,200 m², is a two-storey facility equipped with modern facilities. It allows for simultaneous classes for three classes, and thanks to the pitch division system, it is possible to organise handball, basketball and volleyball training sessions and tournaments.

The ground floor of the hall houses changing rooms, toilets and storage rooms, while the first floor has stands for 207 spectators. The facility is equipped with, among other things, an electronic scoreboard.

The construction of the hall was co-financed by the regional government with PLN 1 million – PLN 125,000 in 2023 and PLN 875,000 in 2025. The investment was carried out as part of a programme to support the construction of school sports halls and gyms, which aims to improve physical education conditions, develop the sporting talents of children and young people, and integrate the local community.
