Regional Parliament session on Monday

At its Monday session (August 25), the Regional Parliament will review a report on the state of sanitary safety as well as the results of inspections of facilities of fundamental importance to the region. The agenda also includes draft resolutions on subsidy rates for railway carriers and targeted subsidies for municipalities for the maintenance of drainage facilities – support is expected to be granted to the municipalities of Dąbrowa Biskupia, Chełmża, Solec Kujawski, Jabłonowo Pomorskie, Więcbork, Płużnica, and Ryńsk. The session will be broadcast live online starting at 11:00 a.m.

The Regional Executive Board is also submitting for consideration a draft resolution entrusting the municipality of Golub-Dobrzyń with the management of Regional Road No. 554 Orzechowo – Sierakowo – Kowalewo Pomorskie – Golub-Dobrzyń – Kikół, in connection with the project “Construction of a bicycle path within the right-of-way of Regional Road No. 554 in the villages of Węgiersk and Paliwodzizna.” The bicycle path along Road No. 554 will improve and enhance traffic safety, especially for cyclists traveling on this section.

The session will also address amendments to the resolution defining transport stops owned by the region, made available to operators and carriers providing regular passenger transport services in public transport, as well as the conditions and rules for using these stops. The need to update the list of designated stops is due to the reconstruction of regional roads and the commissioning of new transport stops in new locations.

The agenda also includes consideration of draft resolutions on determining subsidy rates for operators providing public rail transport services, namely Polregio and Arriva. The subsidies concern the following routes: Bydgoszcz – Toruń – Otłoczyn – Ciechocinek (from December 14, 2025 to December 12, 2026), Rypin – Brodnica, and Laskowice Pomorskie – Wierzchucin (from December 13, 2026 to December 11, 2027).

During the session, the composition of the social councils of two regional medical institutions will also be updated – the Ludwik Rydygier Regional Specialist Hospital in Toruń and the Professor Franciszek Łukaszczyk Oncology Centre in Bydgoszcz.
