See you on the bike trails!
On July 26 and 27, the 5th edition of the St. James Cycling Relay begins — a rally created for cycling enthusiasts who enjoy challenges and value active exploration of the region. Participants will cover 160 kilometers of scenic routes that pass through areas of exceptional natural and historical value. Adventure-seeking cyclists can also take part in the “On the Wheel with Copernicus” contest.
“More and more residents of Kujawy and Pomorze are choosing cycling as their main form of active recreation. It’s a great way to discover the charming corners of our region, so I encourage everyone to join the cycling challenges,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The relay consists of two stages:
- July 26 – Stage I: Świecie – Bierzgłowski Castle (60 km)
Start: 10:00 a.m., in front of the Teutonic Castle in Świecie.
At the finish line at the Diocesan Cultural Center in Bierzgłowski Castle, participants will enjoy: dinner, accommodation, a campsite, a bonfire, and a guided castle tour. - July 27 – Stage II: Bierzgłowski Castle – Brodnica (100 km)
Start: 9:00 a.m.
Finish near the Teutonic Castle in Brodnica.
Each participant will receive a free starter pack including a t-shirt, race number, medal, water, and a voucher for a recovery meal. You can take part in just one stage or ride the entire route.
