Holidays with Chopin
The Chopin Centre in Szafarnia invites you to the eleventh edition of the summer concert series Holidays with Chopin – nine Sunday recitals commemorating the 200th anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s stay in Szafarnia. Admission is free!
This Sunday (6 July) at 12.15 p.m., we invite you to the inaugural concert, during which Łukasz Byrdy (piano) will perform on the Szafarnia stage. The programme includes: Waltz in C sharp minor, Op. 64 No. 2, Rondo à la Mazur, Op. 5, Scherzo in C sharp minor, Op. 39, Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise in E flat major, Op. 22, and Polonaise in A flat major, Op. 53. This year’s edition will also feature performances of Chopin’s repertoire by Lin Xuran, Magdalena Lisak, Anthony Adkins, Maria Moliszewska, Aleksandra Bobrowska, Bartosz Skłodowski, Weronika Chodakowska and Filip Wojciechowski. Young pianists who won awards at the 32nd International Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia will also perform.
The event is co-financed from the provincial budget.
