
Professionals with Marshal’s support
More than half a thousand students of technical and vocational schools received scholarships this year under the Marshal’s project “Vocational Talents of Kujawy and Pomorze”. The call for applications for the next edition will start on 1 September. The summer holidays are a good time to prepare documents.
We want talented young people to have the conditions to fully exploit their potential. Money under the Vocational Talents of Kuyavia and Pomerania programme will help to educate specialists in various fields who are needed on the labour market – emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The scholarship project is implemented using funds from the European Union under the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027 regional programme. In the 2024/2025 school year, support will go to 520 students in the region. The amount of the scholarship ranges from PLN 200 to PLN 500 per month. The support can be used for purposes related to educational development – including the purchase of books, a computer, participation in additional classes and competitions, paying for Internet access, travel to school and accommodation.
Schools with the highest number of scholarship recipients include the School Complex in Mogilno, the Ignacy Łyskowski Vocational Training Centre School Complex in Grubno in Chełmno County, the School Complex in Kowalewo Pomorskie in Golub-Dobrzyń County, School Complex No. 2 in Golub-Dobrzyń, the Vocational and Continuing Education Centre in Brodnica and the School Complex, Continuing Education Centre in Gronów (Toruń County).
Vocational Talents of Kujawy and Pomorze in numbers:
- scholarships will go to 520 young people
- 420 of whom are students of technical secondary schools and 100 of them students of vocational secondary schools
- the amount of support ranges from PLN 200 to 500 per month and
- is paid for 10 months.
The value of this year’s scholarships for over 1.8 thousand students from Kujawsko-Pomorskie primary and secondary schools amounted to nearly PLN 7 million.
