FEdKP: Contracts Worth 30 Million PLN

Nearly 30 million PLN — this is the value of the funds just launched from our regional program European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027. Today (June 13), representatives of the beneficiaries met with Marek Wojtkowski, Member of the Regional Executive Board, Katarzyna Lubańska, Vice-President of the Regional Parliament, and Robert Malinowski, Regional Councilor. Some beneficiaries sign grant agreements electronically.

“The contracting rate for the entire program is approaching 50 percent,” noted Marek Wojtkowski, Member of the Regional Executive Board. “Today, we are awarding further grant agreements, which cover both investment projects and so-called soft projects supporting people in need. It’s something to be proud of.”

“A large part of the contracts awarded today concern projects aimed at people who need our support. Thank you for your sensitivity to the needs of others,” emphasized Katarzyna Lubańska, Vice-President of the Regional Parliament. “I wish you smooth project implementation, and we look forward to your next ideas.”

The largest allocation of today’s funds (over 7.5 million PLN) will go toward activities related to the protection of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve and the development of the educational offer of the Tucholski Landscape Park. As part of the project, accommodation facilities with an interactive exhibition hall will be built at the Field Center for Environmental Education and Promotion of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve in Piła near Gostycyn. Plans also include the creation of educational nature trails, a dendrological park, shelters for bees and other pollinators, and the purchase of equipment and teaching aids.

A significant portion of the funds will be allocated to educational projects implemented by the local government of Toruń and the authorities of Golub-Dobrzyń. In Toruń, the funds will be used to finance extracurricular activities for elementary and high school students, as well as postgraduate studies for teachers. Preschoolers in Golub-Dobrzyń will participate in theater classes, dog therapy sessions, and activities involving alpacas.

Projects aimed at improving the professional activation of people with disabilities will be carried out in Chełmno, Nowe (Świecie County), and Gruta (Grudziądz County).

The Municipal Transport Company in Grudziądz will begin expanding the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point at Składowa 21 Street, while the Golub-Dobrzyń municipality will modernize the municipal water supply station in Gałczewo.

Among the projects supported by the allocated funds are also conservation works on the manor-park complex in Skłudzewo (Zławieś Wielka municipality, Toruń County).

Thanks to FEdKP co-financing, safe bicycle paths will be constructed in the Golub-Dobrzyń County and in Toruń.
