“Catch Up with the Champion” – Sports Series Kicks Off in Grudziądz
On June 5, Grudziądz will host the launch of a unique sports event series for children and youth titled “Catch Up with the Champion”. This energetic initiative includes eight events held across various cities in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The aim is not only to promote a healthy lifestyle, but also to introduce the idea of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Toruń 2026.
The events are dedicated to primary school students and combine athletics competitions, running, meetings with athletes, and much more. Participants will also have access to educational zones promoting ecology, first aid, local school presentations, and – true to the spirit of a sports event – massage and recovery areas.
The series is organized by the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and the School Sports Association of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. These events support the promotion of the 21st World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawsko-Pomorskie, which will take place in Toruń from March 20 to 22, 2026.

- Chełmica (Włocławek County) – June 11 – Stadium in Chełmica-Cukrownia (Fabianki Commune)
- Świecie – June 13 – Stadium at ul. Sienkiewicza 18
- Nakło nad Notecią (Nakło County) – June 16 – Municipal Stadium, ul. Armii Krajowej 4
- Bydgoszcz – June 16 – Sports facilities of the Maria Dąbrowska School of Commerce, ul. Gajowa 94
