“There’s no place like at Mum’s” concert (photos)
On Saturday (24 May), a special concert dedicated to all mothers was held at the Arena Toruń sports and entertainment hall. This was the sixteenth edition of this annual event, organised by the regional government on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The concert was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and the president of the regional parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska. We invite you to view a photo-report from the event.
– 26 May is an opportunity to thank our mothers in a special way for everything they do for us. To show how important you are to us and to spend this day together,” said Marshall Piotr Całbecki.
This year’s artists took care of the unusual atmosphere filled with moving performances of songs known and loved by successive generations: Majka Jeżowska, Krzysztof Kiljański, Natalia Kukulska, Pectus, Ania Rusowicz, Aleksandra Szwed and Sławek Uniatowski. The concert was hosted by Katarzyna Pakosińska. The musical setting was provided by an instrumental and vocal ensemble led by Grzegorz Urban.
The event will be broadcast today (26 May) on TV4 at 6 pm.
The organisation of the event was financed from the regional budget.
