EFKP contracts: green investments in the region

Nearly PLN 30 million – this is the value of the funds of our regional programme European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021-2027, which have just been launched. Marshal Piotr Całbecki met with representatives of the beneficiaries today (16 May). Some beneficiaries signed their grant agreements electronically.

Welcoming those gathered and thanking them for their commitment and solid preparation of application applications, Marshal Piotr Całbecki emphasised the importance of smaller projects implemented with EU support, which are a response to the needs and expectations of local communities – The advancement of contracting in the entire programme is approaching 50 per cent. Nearly PLN 4 billion is already at stake,” he added during today’s meeting.

The largest funds released today will go to waste management projects. Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Oczyszczania in Toruń will modernise its municipal waste sorting plant (subsidy of PLN 7 million), while Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Komunalnych i Mieszkaniowych Ekosystem in Wąbrzeźno will modernise the technological line of the sorting plant in Niedźwiedź (subsidy of nearly PLN 4 million).

Among the projects covered by the support just disbursed are conservation works and the modernisation of the Dybowski Castle and Teutonic Castle in Toruń, as well as the renovation of village day centres in the Włocławek district.

Thanks to funding from the EFKP, safe cycle paths will be created in Rypin and Tuchola poviats, and green avenues will appear along local roads in the gminas of Choceń and Brześć Kujawski and in Świecie poviat.

A large pool of funds is being allocated to so-called soft projects in the field of education, implemented by the Warlubie and Brześć Kujawski municipalities. Additional classes for children and teachers will be organised in the local primary schools and kindergartens.
