Parliament of the Young deliberated in Toruń (photos)

What threats await young people seeking employment, how the labour market is changing and how to find their way in it. These topics were discussed by the Parliament of Young People of the Republic of Poland, meeting on Saturday (12 April) at the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship. The meeting was attended by the President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, who – together with Marshal Piotr Całbecki – assumed honorary patronage of the event.

– The issue under discussion is important not only for those already on the labour market, but also for those who will soon be there. Your voices in creating systemic solutions are extremely valuable,’ stressed Elżbieta Piniewska, Chairwoman of the Sejm.

MPs Iwona Kozłowska and Piotr Kowal also participated in the Youth Parliament of the Republic of Poland.

The aim of the Young People’s Parliament is to participate in discussions on issues of importance to the young generation. Young people hold debates in various cities across the country. At future meetings, parliamentarians will discuss the situation on the housing market and the future of Polish agriculture.

Saturday’s meeting was organised by the Polish Youth Parliament Association, the Youth Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship and the Association of Councillors of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship.
