Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region EU Office in Brussels
Office Tasks
Our primary task is to represent the interests of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region in European Union institutions, promote the region, and support local governments and business entities in accessing EU funds and projects submitted through EU competitions. The office serves as a source of information related to regional policy, legal changes, and decisions made within EU bodies.
We provide substantive support for activities aimed at the development of the region and act as intermediaries in establishing partnerships for interregional cooperation.
In the European Commission, Parliament, and Committee of the Regions, we work to ensure the best possible image of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and lobby for its interests.
We promote the region’s investment, economic, tourism, and cultural strengths by co-organizing and participating in major events in Brussels.
We collaborate with Polish and foreign diplomatic missions in Brussels, including the Polish Embassy in Belgium and the Permanent Representation of Poland to the European Union.
We maintain regular contact with Members of the European Parliament and Members of the European Committee of the Regions from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.
Achievements
Over the years, we have represented the region at the largest events organized in Brussels, such as the EU Open Days – OPEN DOORS, European Week of Regions and Cities – OPEN DAYS, and local promotional events like Fête de Tervueren or Polish Golf Day.
We co-organized and coordinated the Camerimage Winners Show film festival in Brussels, as well as events aimed at promoting the region’s economy, investments, and culture, including symphony concerts, poetry evenings, and goose dinner events for investors.
We provide substantive support to the “Europe of Kujawy and Pomorze” Self-Government Association in organizing study visits for local government employees, students, and pupils from the region. In cooperation with Members of the European Parliament and the “EKiP” Association, we organize three two-month internships annually for employees and several short-term training visits for local government employees.
Location
The Regional Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is located at Avenue de Tervueren 84, close to EU institutions and other European regional representations and diplomatic missions.
