Current EFKP Calls: Urban Mobility, Small-Scale Water Retention and Better Tap Water
Our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze currently has 18 open competitive calls for project funding and non-competitive calls for proposals. The areas of intervention include broadly understood environmental protection and water resource management. A total of PLN 150 million is available.

A total of PLN 22 million is available under three calls supporting so-called urban and suburban mobility. The funding is intended, among other things, for the construction and modernisation of cycle paths, pedestrian and cycle routes, and public bicycle systems. Local governments are eligible to apply. Funding may cover up to 85 per cent of the project value.
Nearly PLN 20 million is being allocated to investments related to so-called small-scale water retention. This means retaining water locally through measures including small reservoirs, ponds, protection of natural wetlands, and the planting of trees and shrubs. Three calls are currently open in this area, two of which focus specifically on measures supporting adaptation to climate change in urban spaces. Eligible beneficiaries include local governments, institutions responsible for water management, non-governmental organisations, businesses, housing cooperatives and homeowners’ associations, social housing associations, as well as higher education institutions.
PLN 11 million is available under two calls for projects aimed at improving the quality of tap water. Local governments and their subordinate entities will be able to use the grants awarded under these calls to modernise, among other things, water supply networks and water treatment plants.
PLN 13.4 million is available under two calls for investments that will help develop the region’s tourism offer. The list of potential beneficiaries is extensive, ranging from local governments and tourism organisations to NGOs, social economy entities and cultural institutions. Funding may cover up to 85 per cent of eligible project costs.
As usual, emergency and rescue services also have a dedicated funding allocation within our grant programme. This time, the funding is intended for fire service facilities and infrastructure. PLN 170 million is available.
Implementation of our EFKP 2021–2027 regional programme continues to progress very efficiently. With 1,263 agreements signed and contracted funding amounting to PLN 5.641 billion, representing 72 per cent of the total allocation, we rank among Poland’s leading regions in terms of programme implementation and currently hold second place in terms of contracting. In 2026, more than PLN 1 billion is available for allocation under the EFKP programme.
