Territorial Policy

Introduction

Territorial Policy is based on an integrated approach to socio-economic development, considering the functional and spatial relationships within a given area. The territorial dimension of development policy is realized by defining functional and spatial areas related to economic and social processes to optimize the use of endogenous development factors and create new forms of cooperation between local government units.

Territorial Policy in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is conducted at four levels:

  1. Voivodeship Level – Covers the cities of Bydgoszcz and Toruń and the area functionally related to them (Voivodeship Integrated Territorial Investments – ZIT). Information on this level of Territorial Policy can be found under the Integrated Territorial Investments section: Integrated Territorial Investments
  2. Regional and Subregional Levels – Includes the cities of Włocławek, Grudziądz, and Inowrocław along with areas functionally related to them (Regional/Subregional City Areas – OSI).
  3. Supra-local (District) Level – Covers the area of the land districts (Social-Economic Development Areas). Social-Economic Development Areas
  4. Local Level – Involves implementing the concept of local development led by the community (RLKS). Local Development Led by Community
