Join us in Chełmno for Wiślane Wici

This coming weekend (15–16 August), the Vistula riverbank in Chełmno will turn into a traditional rafting harbour filled with music, entertainment and stories recalling the times when the river was Poland’s most important trade route. The city of lovers will host another edition of “Summer in the Constellations”, with plenty of attractions for the whole family.

“Kujawsko-Pomorskie is a region full of inspiring places and extraordinary attractions. ‘Summer in the Constellations’ is a perfect opportunity to discover them in an atmosphere of shared enjoyment, take part in concerts, workshops and outdoor events, and spend time with family and friends. I invite everyone to join us for the upcoming events in our summer series,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

On Saturday (15 August), the evening will begin at 7 p.m. with an open-air dance party and will conclude with the “Vistula Worlds” fire show performed by the Hidden Chełmno group.

On Sunday (16 August), an armada of boats taking part in the Vistula Festival, sailing from Bydgoszcz to Grudziądz, will arrive in Chełmno. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet traditional Vistula raftsmen, step aboard historic-style boats, take a cruise on the Vistula and enjoy a sea shanty concert.

“Summer in the Constellations” is a regional tourism promotion campaign created by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourism Organisation, aimed at building a coherent tourism offer for Kujawy and Pomorze.

The first events in the series have already taken place. In the coming weeks, we invite you to join us for the next ones:

  • 29 August – Picnic under the Kujawy Sky in Ciechocinek
  • 20 September – Picnic under the Kujawy Sky in Kruszwica

Chełmno’s Wiślane Wici is an accompanying event of the Vistula Festival.
