A wealth of wishes and congratulations!

The lives of Kazimiera Malinowska, Władysława Nowakowska, and Irena Łuczak – distinguished centenarian celebrants – span a period of profound social and economic transformations of the 20th century, while also reflecting perseverance, diligence, and devotion to family.

One of the honorees is Kazimiera Malinowska. She spent her childhood and youth in Puławy (Lubelskie Region), where she completed her secondary education and began her professional career as a laboratory technician at the Veterinary Institute. In 1969, she married Franciszek Malinowski, with whom she built a family based on mutual support. In 1972, she moved to Włocławek, where she continued her professional life, working at the Nitrogen Works. She raised three children, is a grandmother to three grandchildren, and has two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In her youth, she enjoyed traveling, and nature has always held a special place in her heart. To this day, she enjoys reading books and solving crossword puzzles. She is known as a calm, kind, and patient person.

Among the award recipients is also Władysława Nowakowska, born on May 1, 1926, in Czarzyzna (Świętokrzyskie Region). She spent her childhood and youth in the countryside, where she became familiar with hard work from an early age. After the war, she and her husband Józef Nowakowski began their life together, built over decades on mutual support and hard work. In 1961, they settled in Brzezinek in the Kujawy region, where they ran a farm, and later moved to Lubicz Górny (Toruń County). Mrs. Władysława raised three children and has a large family: ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was socially active, including involvement in a local rural women’s association and a senior citizens’ club. She is known for her passion for handicrafts and exceptional homemade baking.

Also honored is Irena Łuczak, born on May 4, 1926, in Tokarki (Wielkopolskie Region). She grew up in a large family as one of eight children. During the war, she was subjected to forced labor for the occupying forces. After starting her own family, she settled in Kujawy, in Krusza Zamkowa (Inowrocław County), where she and her husband ran a farm and raised seven children. Today, she is surrounded by a multi-generational family – she has eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Despite the passing years, she remains cheerful, enjoys watching television, and values everyday moments with her loved ones.

On behalf of the regional self-government, the honorees were visited by President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska and Member of the Regional Executive Board Marek Wojtkowski.
