Parking for nearly 500 vehicles at the Marshal’s hospital in Włocławek

The Marshal’s special-purpose vehicle, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Medical Investments (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Inwestycje Medyczne), is deep into preparations for the construction of a six-story parking garage with 472 parking spaces on the grounds of the Regional Specialist Hospital in Włocławek. Simultaneously, the hospital’s expansion is progressing as planned, and the facility is implementing a multi-stage purchasing investment package worth nearly PLN 50 million, covering 250 individual items.

“The construction of a much-needed parking facility in this location is an investment we included in our medical infrastructure development program for 2025-2028, funded by a preferential loan from the European Investment Bank. I am glad we will be able to solve the parking problem in the hospital area,” emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki. The parking facility will be equipped with, among other features, electric vehicle charging stations.

Work is currently underway on preparing the functional and utility program and obtaining the necessary permits, including an environmental decision and a public-purpose investment location decision. The tender to select the contractor (in a design-and-build formula) will be announced later this quarter. If everything goes according to plan, the facility will be put into use in the second quarter of 2028.

The hospital’s latest purchases include, among others, an advanced technological system for precise brain and spine surgeries, consisting of the Mazor X neurosurgical robot (with 3D visualization and ultra-precise arm guidance), a neuronavigation system, and a mobile intraoperative imaging device (the so-called O-arm). As for the specialized robotic system dedicated to neurosurgery, the Marshal’s Regional Specialist Hospital in Włocławek is the fourth in Poland and the first in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region to use such a machine.

Construction of the new five-storey main hospital building – the future heart of the facility – is progressing according to schedule. Construction teams are currently working mainly inside the building, carrying out finishing and installation works. The project has surpassed 50% completion, and the colors of the façade can already be admired.
