Kino Centrum in Toruń Invites Audiences into the Imaginative World of Federico Fellini

Kino Centrum and the Association of Art-House Cinemas invite lovers of ambitious cinema to a summer retrospective dedicated to Federico Fellini, one of the greatest directors in the history of European cinema. As part of the series, audiences will have the opportunity to see six films by the Italian master, all restored in 4K, allowing these unforgettable works to shine with renewed brilliance on the big screen.

This summer at Kino Centrum will be devoted to Italian cinema filled with emotion, melancholy, humor, and extraordinary imagination. Fellini created worlds of remarkable visual richness and grandeur, yet beneath their spectacular surfaces lay stories of human desires, loneliness, longing, and vulnerability.

As part of the “Federico Fellini: Ciao a Tutti!” retrospective, audiences will be able to see:

  • I Vitelloni (Wałkoni) – 23 June 2026, 6:00 p.m.
  • Nights of Cabiria (Noce Cabirii) – 7 July 2026, 6:00 p.m.
  • La Dolce Vita (Słodkie życie) – 21 July 2026, 6:00 p.m.
  • 8½ (Osiem i pół) – 4 August 2026, 6:00 p.m.
  • Juliet of the Spirits (Giulietta i duchy) – 18 August 2026, 6:00 p.m.
  • The Voice of the Moon (Głos z księżyca) – 8 September 2026, 6:00 p.m.

Federico Fellini is regarded as one of the most influential figures in world cinema. Born in Rimini, the director and screenwriter developed a unique artistic style that blended realism with dreams, grotesque imagery, and poetic fantasy. He gained international acclaim through films such as La Strada, La Dolce Vita, and 8½. His work profoundly influenced generations of filmmakers.

Fellini received numerous awards, including four Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film for La Strada (1954), Nights of Cabiria (1957), 8½ (1963), and Amarcord (1973), as well as an Honorary Academy Award for lifetime achievement in 1992. To this day, he remains a symbol of artistic freedom and one of the most important figures in international filmmaking.

The retrospective will be an excellent opportunity both for devoted admirers of classic cinema and for those just beginning to discover the work of the Italian master.
