Free screening and meeting with the creators of Seasons in Włocławek
The Kujawy–Pomorze Film Fund invites audiences to a screening and a meeting with the creators of the film Seasons at the Impresary Theatre in Włocławek. The event is part of the celebrations of the Year of Film People from Kujawy and Pomorze.
The Kujawy– Pomorze Film Fund was established on the initiative of the regional government. Its mission is to support filmmakers, promote the unique qualities of the region, and stimulate the local creative industries. The two most recent high-profile productions made with the Fund’s participation are Chopin, Chopin! directed by Michał Kwieciński and A Good House directed by Wojtek Smarzowski.
With financial support from the Kujawy– Pomorze Film Fund, the film Seasons, directed by Michał Grzybowski, was also produced. The film premiered in 2024. It is a comedy set in the world of theatre, telling the story of a marital crisis experienced by a pair of actors, Marcin and Ola. For her portrayal of Ola, Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza received the award for Best Actress at the 18th Off Camera International Film Festival 2025 in Kraków. The cast also features well-known actors such as Łukasz Simlat, Andrzej Seweryn, and Andrzej Grabowski. The entire film was shot in Toruń, including scenes filmed at the Wilam Horzyca Theatre.
The free screening of Seasons will take place at the Impresary Theatre in Włocławek on Wednesday, 11 February, at 6:00 p.m. After the screening, a meeting with director Michał Grzybowski and actress Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza is scheduled.
The actress graduated from the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź in 2002. In her fourth year of studies, she made her feature film debut in the role of Ewa, a waitress who falls in love with a man on the run from the mafia, in Non sono io, directed by Italian filmmaker Gabriele Iacovone. From 2007 to 2023, she was a member of the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz, where she performed a wide range of roles, from Polish classics to contemporary drama. She has also appeared in numerous television series, including Samo życie, Pierwsza miłość, Komisarz Alex, and Prawo Agaty. She gained recognition from both audiences and critics for her role as Kasia in White Stream (2021), directed by Michał Grzybowski, for which she received a nomination for the Maciej Kozłowski Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Kozzi Film Festival in Zielona Góra. In 2025, at the Tofifest International Film Festival, she was awarded the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Film Award named after Pola Negri.
2026 — the Year of Film People from Kujawy and Pomorze
“Kujawsko-Pomorskie is not only the birthplace of great figures of Polish cinema, but also a space where film has been living, created, and developing for years,” stated the members of the regional assembly when establishing 2026 as the Year of Film People from Kujawy and Pomorze. The occasion is marked by numerous anniversaries related to outstanding figures from the region who have made their mark on Polish cinematography, including the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great silent film star Pola Negri.
