Żnin County – new EU projects worth over 100 million are already being implemented

Marshal Piotr Całbecki visited the Żnin County today (January 10), where he met with local authorities and visited the regional cultural institution, the Lubostroń Palace, located in Lubostroń, near Żnin.

Żnin County is one of the local counties in our region that is well-versed in EU project mechanisms and is successful in securing this type of support. In the 2014-2020 financial perspective, a total of 204 million PLN (over 3,000 PLN per capita) from our Regional Operational Program was allocated to 141 projects in Żnin and the surrounding areas, including local businesses. Additionally, 220 million PLN from national government programs were distributed to various entities. The implementation of the new regional program (2021-2027) means that residents of this part of the region will benefit from a commitment of 103 million PLN.

In Żnin, Marshal Piotr Całbecki met with Mayor Łukasz Kwiatkowski, Żnin County Head Zbigniew Jaszczuk, and County Council President Aleksandra Nowakowska, who is also the director of the Lubostroń Palace. They discussed the development of this important regional cultural institution. The Marshal also visited the local food shop “U Doroty smaki jak dawniej” (Tastes Like in the Past), which was established with a grant from the Rural Development Program 2014-2020, administered by the Regional Self-Government.
