Żnin County – a Fine Part of the Region

On Monday (3 November), Marshal Piotr Całbecki visited Pałuki – a land of rich history and an interesting cultural and tourist offer – as well as the Marshal’s cultural institutions operating in the Żnin County: the Archaeological Museum in Biskupin and Lubostroń Palace. The Marshal of the Region also met with local government representatives and learned about the local sports facilities.

“Together with local governments across our region, we are summarizing and assessing the implementation of our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze. We are also building a development strategy for the new EU funding perspective. We are starting this discussion in Żnin County – a well-managed area with the best development indicators. It’s a fine part of our region,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Under our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze (FEdKP) 2021–2027, Żnin County has received 70 million PLN in funding.

Funding under the Rural Development Programme 2014–2020 for entities from Żnin County amounted to nearly 20 million PLN.

The Archaeological Museum in Biskupin is preparing to build a new museum pavilion, while at Lubostroń Palace modernization of networks and technical installations has been completed.

Marshal Piotr Całbecki also visited the astrobase operating at the 1st Secondary School in Żnin and a plot of land at the Technical School Complex, where a new sports hall will be built. He also reviewed the sports facilities in Gąsawa and visited the Social Welfare Home in Tonowo (Żnin County).
