
Young Theatre Festival in Toruń
For three days (September 12–14), the Young Theatre Festival is taking place at the Voivodeship Centre for Cultural Animation (WOAK) in Toruń. This is the third edition of the event, which provides theatre enthusiasts with the opportunity to meet, integrate, and inspire one another. Participants from across Poland will have an open space to exchange theatrical experiences through discussions, workshops, collaborative artistic activities, and performances.
This year’s edition is held under the theme: “Growth.”
This year’s workshops include:
- Body / Movement / Voice – Teatr Chorea
- Brush in Hand – Basics of Theatrical Make-Up – Lidia Pachciarek
- Creativity in Designing Theatre Sets and Costumes – Ewelina Brudnicka
- Voice Work with Elements of Dubbing – Monika Kijek
- Allowing for Growth – Pedagogical-Theatrical Workshops on Group Work – Agnieszka Zakrzewska
- Directing Seriously – Bartosz Kurowski

- 19:00 – Performance by the “Young Theatre” group from WOAK
Saturday, September 13, 2025
- 10:00–13:00 – Workshops Block I
- 14:00–17:00 – Workshops Block II
- 18:30–20:00 – Q&A session with Tomasz Rodowicz from Teatr Chorea
- 20:00–22:30 – Impro Impra (evening of improvisational games interspersed with a DJ set)

- 16:00 – Performance by Teatr Chorea: Books of Disquiet. Stanisław / Antoni / Fernando, based on Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet and chess games, directed by Tomasz Rodowicz
