Marshal Piotr Całbecki met today (October 24) with participants of the fifth edition and previous editions of the educational and social program “Regional Leaders’ Forge”, implemented in cooperation with the Faculty of Theology at Nicolaus Copernicus University. During the meeting, the young participants received certificates confirming their participation in the project, through which they learned effective teamwork, public debating, social sensitivity, and active citizenship.

“I am convinced that no matter who you become in the future, you will be engaged, socially aware, and open to others. I congratulate you on joining the Leaders’ Forge team and on developing your skills with passion. Our region is changing thanks to people like you,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The program participants were selected from high school students from across the voivodeship who applied at the beginning of the year. In this year’s edition, ten young people took part in workshops on rhetoric, media, and local government, learned the principles of self-presentation and creative thinking, and met with mentors.

They also participated in cultural and social projects, helped organize an international event for children and youth, and took part in the JP2 Stop event.

The program is carried out by the St. John Paul II Laboratory operating within the Faculty of Theology at Nicolaus Copernicus University.
