Year 2025 on Regional Roads

In 2025, another 100 kilometers of modernized roads were opened to traffic. Among the largest completed investments are Regional Road No. 563 in Rypin County, as well as new roundabouts in Golub-Dobrzyń and Dyblin in Lipno County. A number of projects are currently underway, including the construction of the Mogilno bypass. Further projects are in preparation.

“We are maintaining a very strong pace in modernizing road infrastructure,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “This year we are opening more than 100 kilometers of Regional Roads to traffic. Many sections are being equipped with elements expected by local communities to improve safety: roundabouts, bicycle paths, sidewalks, and modern signage. This additional infrastructure is often the result of close cooperation with local governments, which facilitates obtaining additional funding. We are also working intensively on our bypass construction program and the elimination of dangerous locations.”

Completed modernizations and expansions:

  • Expansion of Regional Road No. 563 Stępowo – regional border (Rypin County, length 6.6 km, total cost approx. PLN 44.7 million). Along with the road, a pedestrian and bicycle path in Okalewo was opened, and dozens of trees were planted along the route.
  • Construction of new roundabouts in Golub-Dobrzyń and Dyblin. The total cost of both projects is PLN 8 million. They are part of the Marshal’s program to improve safety at key intersections.
  • Reconstruction of a section of Regional Road No. 251 Pturek – Młodocin in Żnin County, cost PLN 10 million. The reconstruction was combined, among other things, with the renovation of bridge elements over the Noteć River.

Record spending on roads

PLN 2 billion will be allocated to the Regional Road modernization program for the coming years. Under the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027 (FEdKP 2021-2027), our regional program for the new financial perspective, EUR 136 million is earmarked for road investments, including our regional bypass construction program. Part of the projects related to road infrastructure expansion will also be financed with central government funding (approx. PLN 170 million for bypasses and about PLN 450 million for the expansion of other roads).
