World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 Fan Zone: Don’t miss it!
Sports excitement, great fun, spectacular shows and high-energy concerts—all in one place!
It’s all happening in the largest fan zone of the World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26, which will open on Friday (20 March) at Nowomiejski Market Square in Toruń. Admission to all attractions is free. Detailed information is available at kujawsko-pomorskie.travel.
“I am convinced that this unique fan zone will become a favourite meeting place for supporters,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “It is a space where everyone—regardless of age—will find something for themselves: from unforgettable sporting emotions and shared cheering, through family-friendly activities, to encounters with culture and art. All in the spirit of Kujawsko-Pomorskie hospitality. I warmly invite everyone!”
The central point of the fan zone will be a main tent with a panoramic LED screen broadcasting all championship sessions—the first one already on Friday at 10:05 AM.
On Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM, we invite you to the championship parade—a march of children and sports club members, who will symbolically hand over the relay baton as part of the “50 Relays of Kujawy and Pomorze” initiative (starting at Nowomiejski Market Square and finishing at the Old Town Market Square). At 4:00 PM, the official opening concert will take place, featuring Dawid Kwiatkowski, Ray Wilson and Gromee. Free entry.
On Saturday (21 March) at 1:00 PM, the Ocelot Theatre will present a breathtaking performance combining acrobatics, ballet, music and pantomime. Later, at 4:30 PM, Fukaj—one of the leading artists of the young Polish rap scene—will take the stage.
Every day, athletics fans will be able to test their skills in activity zones featuring long jump, high jump, obstacle courses and reflex tests. There will also be a mini Mondo running track with professional timing and starting blocks. One of the most spectacular attractions will be “Jump over Duplantis,” where bungee trampolines will allow visitors to symbolically challenge world-class pole vault heights.
Visitors will also enjoy VR zones with athletics competitions, PlayStation stations, and AI photo booths transforming participants into professional athletes. For children, there will be a dedicated play area with animators, face painting and balloons, while the championship mascot Goosia will be roaming the grounds.
Special Champion Passports will be available at the information point. Visitors can collect stickers for participating in activities and exchange completed passports for unique WIC Kujawy Pomorze 26 gadgets.
Meet-and-greet sessions with Polish athletes are also planned—the schedule will be announced soon on the website.
An exhibition titled “History of Polish Athletics” will be held in the former Evangelical church building at 28 Nowomiejski Market Square (Camerimage cinema). Visitors will be able to see professional equipment, including throwing discs, sprint spikes and a pole vault bar set at world record height.
Along Królowa Jadwiga Street (from Empik to the fan zone), an outdoor photo exhibition “Relay of Kujawy and Pomorze. 50 Days Together” will present images from all stages of the relay.
The fan zone will also feature stands of rural housewives’ associations and local producers offering regional specialties such as traditional żurek soup, pierogi and bigos, as well as vegetarian options. A sustainability zone will showcase regional landscape parks (Brodnica, Krajeńskie, Wda and Lower Vistula Valley) and institutions involved in environmental protection and municipal services.
The World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 will take place at the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Arena Toruń. The world’s top athletes will compete in Poland’s best indoor athletics venue from 20 to 22 March. The last tickets are still available via eBilet.pl.
