World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26: Choose the mascot’s name!

Atletka, Balbinka, Goosia or Orbitka? The final stage of the competition to name the mascot of the World Indoor Athletics Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 has begun. You can vote until November 19 at www.maskotka.kujawypomorze26.pl.

“I am convinced that our mascot will win the hearts of all athletes and fans. The goose embodies the sporting spirit of competition, regional tradition, and the values of athletics,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki during the mascot’s unveiling ceremony.

The goose has been associated with the Kujawy and Pomorze region for centuries — the best example being our campaign ‘Goose for St. Martin’s Day’. It is also a symbol of the athlete — of strength, perseverance, and determination — qualities that are key in athletics.

The World Indoor Athletics Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 will take place from March 20–22 next year. It will be the second indoor athletics event of this rank in Poland’s history and the first ever hosted in Kujawy and Pomorze.
