World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26: Lubraniec on the Championship Route

Only 15 days remain until the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26! The next stop on the map of our championship relays was Lubraniec in Włocławek County. Seniors from the Bronek Senior Home demonstrated that passion for movement and the joy of shared activity know no age. This afternoon (5 March) the relay will continue with sports activities in Kowalewo Pomorskie (Golub-Dobrzyń County).

Event Calendar Highlights

  • 4 March – 16 days to the championships: activities at Bronek Senior Home, Lubraniec (Włocławek County)
  • 3 March – 17 days: futsal training with KS Górzno Nowy Świt (Brodnica County)
  • 2 March – 18 days: Kangoo Jumps fitness session in Zielnowo (Grudziądz County)
  • 1 March – 19 days: athletics training in Nakło nad Notecią
  • 28 February – 20 days: football tournament in Chodecz (Włocławek County)
    (…and continuing through early February with various local sports activities, fitness sessions, and youth tournaments leading up to the championships.)

The championships at the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Arena Toruń will begin on 20 March. Morning sessions will start daily at 10:05, while afternoon sessions will begin at 18:35 on Friday and Saturday, and 17:40 on Sunday. The first medals, in the women’s high jump, will be awarded during the opening series of the championships.

Until 22 March, Toruń Plaza shopping centre will pulse with athletics thanks to the exhibition opened last week by the Museum of World Athletics (MOWA). Visitors can freely view uniforms, shoes, medals and equipment used by the world’s top athletes to achieve titles and break records.
