Włocławek: diagnostics at the highest level

Vice Marshal of the Region Aneta Jędrzejewska and a Regional Executive Board Member, Marek Wojtkowski, attended the official opening of a new wing of the complex of the Poviat Health Centre in Włocławek. The facility also purchased modern diagnostic equipment – a CT scanner and an MRI scanner.

New equipment means, above all, new possibilities for saving health and life. It enables faster and more accurate diagnosis, more effective treatment and the provision of care at the highest level said Vice Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska in Włocławek.

During the ceremony, agreements were also signed as part of our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2017 for the funding of the centre’s purchase investments, with a total value of PLN 1 million. The funds will be used to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment, including a device for extracorporeal crushing of kidney stones, an apparatus for non-invasive treatment of glaucoma, a phototherapy cabin for the treatment of chronic psoriasis, a new videodermatoscope for early diagnosis of dermato-oncology, as well as two ultrasound machines for the diagnosis of urinary tract disorders, including kidney stones.

The modern complex at the junction of Szpitalna and Wyszyńskiego Streets brings together more than 20 specialist clinics. The centre has an electronic registration system which, in addition to its functionality, also provides patients with the necessary discretion and confidentiality of the data provided.
