Mrs. Stanisława Kędziorek from Mirakowo in Toruń County celebrated her 100th birthday on April 3, 2025. The centenarian was honored with the Marshal’s Medal Unitas Durat Palatinatus Cuiaviano-Pomeraniensis, and Regional Councilor Leszek Pluciński extended his congratulations and best wishes. “From a green leaf a bird sips the dew. The water quickly vanishes – thus life passes away…” wrote the celebrant in her poem Memories, emphasizing how swiftly time flows.

“May the kindness you share with others return to you, strengthened by the care, warmth, and attention of your loved ones. May each day bring you joy, love, and support,” conveyed Marshal of the Region Piotr Całbecki in his congratulatory message.

Mrs. Stanisława, née Ciołek, was born in 1925 in the village of Stara Huta in Garwolin County (Mazowieckie Region). The youngest of seven siblings, in her youth she helped her parents on the family farm. After 1946, she settled near Osieck (Mazowieckie Region), where she and her husband ran a farm and raised four children. Today she is a grandmother of eleven grandchildren and a great-grandmother of sixteen great-grandchildren.

Despite numerous responsibilities, Mrs. Stanisława always found time for her passions – cycling, writing poems and memoirs, and reading books. To this day she never parts with her pen. On the occasion of her 100th birthday, she wrote a special poem.

The jubilarian attributes her longevity to simple principles: exercise and fresh air, deep breathing, and a natural diet rich in forest fruits.
