The final relay of our “50 Relays of Kujawy and Pomorze” campaign has crossed the finish line! Its participants, including employees of the Marshal’s Office, arrived at the fan zone just before the start of the morning session of the WIC. Our relay was led by Adam Kszczot, multi-medalist of the World, Polish, and European Championships in the 800 meters. The baton was handed over to the runners in the morning by Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

“The ‘50 Relays of Kujawy and Pomorze’ campaign has shown just how diverse sport is in our region,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki before the start. “In 50 towns across our voivodeship, students, amateur athletes, seniors, and people with disabilities trained together. This proved that sport truly brings people together.”

Today at 3:30 PM, we invite everyone to the championship parade marking the conclusion of the campaign (starting at Nowomiejski Market and ending at Stary Rynek). At 4:00 PM, a concert celebrating the opening of the championships will take place on stage, featuring Oskar Cyms, Ray Wilson, and Gromee.

The “50 Relays of Kujawy and Pomorze” was a series of events held over the fifty days leading up to the Kujawy Pomorze 26 Indoor World Championships. Each gathering was an opportunity for shared activity, integration, and promotion of an active lifestyle. The campaign included athletes from local clubs as well as amateurs, children, youth, whole families, and seniors. The relay baton, symbolically passed among 50 municipalities, covered a total of 6,100 kilometers.
