We subsidise interesting activities and holiday trips for young people

More than PLN 270 000 will go this year to 27 NGOs from across the region to organise development activities for children and young people at risk of social exclusion. The funds were awarded by the Marshal’s Office as part of a competition.

The regional government has been supporting non-governmental organisations in their activities for young people for years through open competitions. Thanks to the activities of non-governmental organisations, children and young people will be able to spend their free time actively after school and take advantage of an attractive offer during their summer holidays,’ emphasises voivodeship Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Young people in the region will take part in workshops, holiday trips, integration and educational activities, and activities promoting giving up drugs in favour of sport. The support will be used to organise, among other things, artistic meetings – Creating Theatre Together in the Wąbrzeźno district, the second edition – Looking for our passions together or integration activities – Lego brings us together.

Organisations which received support include the “Let’s Skate” Foundation from Toruń, the Chełmno Youth Basketball Club, the “Szkoła Sercem Wsi” Association in Pocierzyn (Radziejów poviat), the “Wiatrak” Foundation from Bydgoszcz and the “Dębowe Zacisze” Association (Świecie poviat).

Every year, the Marshal’s Office supports projects of non-governmental organisations in areas such as culture, sport, counteracting addictions, social assistance, health care, tourism, support for people with disabilities and the development of civil society. This year, more than PLN 6.5 million in the pool of funds was distributed through 22 competitions.
