We bid farewell to Marian Morawiak
With deep sadness, we received the news of the passing of Marian Morawiak, a long-time employee of the Marshal’s Office and previously also of the Voivodeship Office in Toruń. He was a specialist responsible, among other things, for telecommunications and IT solutions—a dedicated professional, as well as an open and compassionate person. May he rest in peace.
A graduate of the prestigious Gdańsk University of Technology, he began his career as a design engineer at one of the research and development centres in Toruń. He became involved in public administration in the early 1980s. At the Voivodeship Office in Toruń and later at the Marshal’s Office, he was responsible, among other things, for modernising the telephone network and maintaining ICT systems. He also implemented the first electronic voting system for the regional assembly.

Marian Morawiak
He will be remembered as a professional who set high standards for others, but above all for himself—an engineer who carried out his work with passion, and at the same time a kind, empathetic colleague.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
Funeral ceremonies will take place on 18 March in Toruń (Holy Mass at 12:00 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Skarpa; burial ceremony at the Municipal Cemetery, 192 Grudziądzka Street).
