Village leaders across the country celebrated their holiday – Day of the Village Leader. During meetings in Golub-Dobrzyń and Rypin, village leaders received sołtys’ badges from the hands of Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska and voivodeship councillor Paweł Zgórzyński, emphasising the rank and importance of their social role and function.

– Village leaders support the regional government in implementing regional policy and building civil society. They proudly wear badges which distinguish them in their local communities,’ stresses Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
