Traditional Easter Recipes

White sausage in a jar, yeast babka, walnut Mazurek, or maybe Kujawski Żur? We present recipes for Easter from our regional List of Traditional Products, which will taste especially delightful during the Easter holidays.

“Products representing our region on the ministerial List of Traditional Products are part of the rich and still living culinary heritage of Kujawy and Pomorze. These are the dishes of our mothers and grandmothers, flavors remembered for a lifetime. Many of them can be prepared right at home,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

On the nationwide ministerial List of Traditional Products, there are already over 100 items and dishes from our region. Products from Kujawsko-Pomorskie registered on the list can be found here.

Traditional Easter recipes from our list include:

  • White sausage in a jar (submitted by Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo Usługowe Produkcyjne Rolmięs sp. jawna from Łabiszyn, Żnin County)
  • Kujawiok – Easter yeast babka (submitted by Anna Patyk from the Rural Housewives’ Circle in Bronisław, Radziejów County)
  • Walnut Mazurek from Kaniewo (submitted by a housewife from Kaniewo, Aleksandrów County)
  • Kujawski Żur (submitted by the Partnership for the Land of Kujawy Association from Aleksandrów Kujawski)
