Top students from Kujawsko-Pomorskie received scholarships from the Marshal

Over a thousand primary school, secondary school and music school students received scholarships this year as part of the Marshal’s project Prymusi Pomorza i Kujaw II (Top Students of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II). Applications for the next edition will open on 1 September. The summer holidays are a good time to prepare the documents. Scholarship award regulations.

 

The regional government attaches great importance to the quality of education and does a lot to ensure that education-related expenses do not place an excessive burden on family budgets, especially those of less affluent families. We want talented young people to have the conditions to fully realise their potential,’ emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

 

The scholarship project is implemented with funding from the European Union under the regional programme European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie  2021-2027. In the 2024/2025 school year, support was provided to 1,119 students in the region. The scholarship amounts to between PLN 300 and PLN 500 per month. The support can be used for educational development purposes, including the purchase of books, a computer, participation in additional classes and competitions, payment for internet access, travel to school and accommodation.

 

The most represented schools are the University High School in Toruń (140 scholarship holders), Tadeusz Kościuszko High School No. 4 in Toruń (63), the Nicolaus Copernicus High School No. 1 in Toruń (47), the Prof. Stefan Banach High School No. 10 in Toruń (42), the Kujawy Region High School No. 1 in Włocławek (37), Jan Kasprowicz High School No. 1 with Bilingual Classes in Inowrocław (27) and Jan and Jędrzej Śniadecki High School No. 6 in Bydgoszcz (27).

 

Top students of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II in numbers:

  • in the 2024/2025 school year, 1,119 students received scholarships
  • 431 scholarship holders are primary school students and 688 are high school students. The amount of support ranges from 2,000 to 5,000 PLN.

 

The value of this year’s scholarships for over 1,800 students of primary and secondary schools in Kujawsko-Pomorskie amounted to nearly PLN 7 million.
