They will teach business and support budding entrepreneurs

The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Marshal’s Loan Fund (KPFP) is embarking on a project in the field of economic education, aimed at vocational school students, people planning to start a business, as well as students and young entrepreneurs. The programme includes, among others, classes in schools, a mentoring programme and individual meetings with advisors who will guide participants step by step along the path leading to the launch of their own businesses.

We will be teaching entrepreneurship in ten classes of high schools and vocational schools, as well as in training and consultations addressed to future entrepreneurs aged 18-75. Yes! Because sometimes the idea for a good business comes after retirement, and we know that the length of working life is steadily increasing. What is new here is the approach of first of all guiding the future entrepreneur from idea to start-up and the mentoring segment, which will allow budding entrepreneurs to bypass the reefs of running a business with the advice of experienced mentors. Entrepreneurship is the basic drive for development, which is why we do not begrudge money for projects that strengthen the business sphere,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki, who handed over an agreement on project financing to President Agnieszka Wasita today (16 May).

Participation in the project will be free of charge for participants. Details will soon appear on the KPFP website.

The budget amounts to PLN 3 million. The source of funding is a pool at the disposal of the regional government from the National Reconstruction Plan (which is part of the EU Reconstruction and Resilience Instrument) as part of a larger project on coordinating and monitoring the regional vocational, higher education and lifelong learning system. The aim of the framework project (with a budget of more than PLN 21 million) is to equip the region’s residents with the competences that, in line with their ambitions and aptitudes, will enable them to find their best footing in business and the labour market.
