The space-themed picnic is behind us!

A mobile planetarium, astronomy workshops, scientific experiments, an electronic music concert, and many other attractions – this was the Return to the Moon, a science picnic held on Saturday (July 19) at Wola Zamkowa in Toruń. The event attracted crowds of science enthusiasts, families with children, and all those curious about the world. And after the summer break, the center of space discoveries will move to Bydgoszcz. The Astrobaza Bydgoszcz picnic will invite hundreds of students on a joint journey through the mysteries of the universe.

For years, we’ve been combining modern methods of popularizing science with the rich astronomical traditions of our region, and events like this picnic are a perfect example of that, said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

In September, the Astrobaza Bydgoszcz science picnic will also take place – an educational event held near the Rother’s Mills, with as many as 600 students from 20 primary schools expected to attend. Participants will be invited to explore the secrets of space together through astronomy shows, workshops, field games, and interactive science stations.

The first stage of registration for the event has already ended. The second stage will begin on September 1. Applications will be accepted via the KPCEI website. Each school will be able to register a maximum of 30 students.

More information is available on the website of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Centre for Education and Innovation in Toruń.
