The Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). Marshal Piotr Całbecki invites you on cruises on Lake Żurskie.
“Healthy tummies for our children” – this is the slogan under which the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is playing this year. Employees of the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region have already joined the fundraiser today.
– For years, WOŚP has shown what great power lies in acting together. I would like to thank the volunteers, donors, and everyone who has taken part in this year’s finale. Every auction and every zloty is real support for the youngest patients – emphasizes Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.
Among the donors is also Marshal Piotr Całbecki, who donated two vouchers for unique family educational and recreational trips. Each voucher is intended for a family of four and includes a cruise on a water tram across Lake Żurskie with an educator, as well as a canoe trip down the Wda River, ending with lunch. The route runs through areas of exceptional landscape and natural value, which are among the most valuable parts of our region. The vouchers were handed over to WOŚP teams in Bydgoszcz and Toruń. The trips are planned for spring, on a date agreed with the auction winners.
This year’s fundraiser is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in children, in particular supporting pediatric gastroenterology wards through the purchase of modern medical equipment.
As every year, the Self-Government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship has joined the activities of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Items donated for auctions included artworks by children and youth from the region, local-government gadgets, and objects related to activities promoting the region’s heritage and initiatives.
Children’s and youth artworks for WOŚP
Framed works by the winners and those awarded distinctions in the art competition organized as part of the “Sportowa Gęś” 2025 campaign were put up for auction during the 34th WOŚP Finale. This year, the artworks referred to the World Athletics Indoor Championships, which will be held in Toruń from 20 to 22 March 2026.
As every year, we donated gifts to the WOŚP teams in Toruń and Bydgoszcz. Additionally, WOŚP teams from Kowalewo Pomorskie, Lipno, Szubin, Mała Nieszawka, Cierpice, Zła Wieś Wielka, Mierzynko (with the Lubicz Dolny team), Obrowo, Skępe, and Unisław also contacted us, and we provided them with gadgets as well.
Representatives of the region self-government authorities also joined this year’s WOŚP finale. Elżbieta Piniewska, President of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Parliament, donated jewelry for auction, while Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska offered a voucher for a balloon flight.
