Supporting Youth NGOs
Three hundred thousand złoty – this is the amount that will go to non-governmental organizations in the region this year for projects supporting the upbringing of children and youth. The funds granted by the Marshal’s Office will enable the implementation of thirteen projects.
– Youth organizations and movements are important partners of the regional self-government in carrying out many socially valuable initiatives. They play a significant role in the educational work with young people – thanks to their activities, children and youth can learn scouting values, develop their interests, and spend their free time actively and meaningfully – says Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Region.
The funds from the regional budget will go to school sports clubs, scouting organizations, and associations across the region. Thanks to the received funding, summer camps for children and youth will be organized by, among others, the Student Sports Club “Czapla” from Białe Błota (Bydgoszcz County) and the Toruń-based Servi Association. Support will also be provided to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region of the Polish Scouting Association, including scouting districts from Aleksandrów Kujawski, Bydgoszcz, Świecie, Toruń, Tuchola, and Żnin. The allocated funds will allow for the organization of scouting camps, rallies, gatherings, and summer trips.
Every year, the Marshal’s Office supports the implementation of projects carried out by non-governmental organizations in the fields of culture, sports, addiction prevention, social assistance, healthcare, tourism, activities for people with disabilities, and the development of civil society. This year, over 6.5 million złoty has been allocated within 22 competitions.
