Support for Families

This year, 40,000 PLN was allocated to non-governmental organizations in the region to implement projects aimed at preventing domestic violence, supporting emotional development, building non-violent relationships, and strengthening parenting competencies. The funds granted by the Marshal’s Office will enable the implementation of five projects.

“Supporting parents is a key element in shaping the adult lives of young people, which is why strengthening the family’s potential and developing parenting and educational skills is so important,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

As part of the “Combating Domestic Violence” grant competition, support will go toward various assistance programs, educational campaigns, therapeutic activities, and counseling services. A total of 40,000 PLN has been allocated for this purpose. Among the beneficiaries are the Nadzieja Foundation from Toruń, the Spiral Coaching Foundation from Włocławek, and the Coming Out of the Shadows Foundation from Bydgoszcz.

The regional self-government supports projects carried out by non-governmental organizations in the fields of culture, sports, addiction prevention, social assistance, healthcare, tourism, activities for people with disabilities, and the development of civil society. This year, a total of 6.5 million PLN has been distributed through 22 grant competitions.
