Summaries 2024 – We have fallen in love with good food

For the past four years, the online store Local Food has been offering customers regional products from local producers. These include cheese, cured meats, fish, fruit and vegetable preserves and baked goods. The store’s assortment regularly expands with new products offered by these suppliers. Currently, gourmets can purchase as many as 570 products – and this is not the only success of this 2024 venture.

 

Our online store is an example of implementing the idea of a short food chain. Orders are collected in advance so that delivery can take place immediately after the products are harvested or made. This ensures that they are the freshest, which ensures the highest quality.

 

In 2024, the online store Local Food:

  • expanded the offer by as many as 50 new products – a total of 570 products are now in the assortment,
  • cooperation with 3 new suppliers has been established, with a total of 24 producers already offering their products in the store,
  • 9 shopping windows have been implemented, selling hundreds of products straight from local producers.

 

The quality of our suppliers’ food is regularly recognized and awarded. Tyko in 2024 Local Food producers and associates:

 

Serowarnia Jasiurkowscy (Żnin district):

  • “Serodziej Jakub”’ curd cheese was awarded a bronze medal at the 2024 World Cheese Awards – selected from as many as 5,000 cheeses.
  • Curd from Pałuki was distinguished at the Podlasie Cheese Festival and the Pałuki Feast, the product was also promoted on the popular morning TVP program “Pytanie na śniadanie”.

 

Paul Apiary (Inowrocław County):

  • linden honey won recognition from the jury at the Lower Silesian Honey and Wine Festival in Przemków .

 

Ewa and Mieczyslaw Chabowski (Bydgoszcz district):

  • The product of Chabowski family – sawn cherry jam – was included in 2024 in the List of Traditional Products maintained by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. This is one of two products from Kujawsko-Pomorskie that made it to the list last year,
  • a pearl for cherry jam in the Our Culinary Heritage – Flavors of the Regions competition,
  • the title of Innovative Farmer 2024 in the Agricultural Retail category, for innovative solutions implemented in the production of jam,
  • Ewa Chabowska was honored in the Agricola-Son of the Earth competition in the Innovation in Agriculture category (more), and nominated in the “Personality of the Year” plebiscite of Gazeta Pomorska in the Business and Entrepreneurship category,

 

Ol-Mat (Inowrocław district):

  • award for herring baked with tomatoes at the Barzkowice Agricultural Fair,
  • first place for smoked eel in vinegar brine in the Flavors of the Regions competition.

 

Sam Miód Apiary (Mariusz Wika, Żnin):

  • Honorable mention for the best honeydew honey at the Honey Fest in Barcin,

 

Małgorzata Szultka-Młyńska, PhD (Faculty of Chemistry, UMK in Toruń):

  • 1st place in the category “Scientist in animal production and agri-food processing” in the national competition “Women create innovations”, organized by the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów Branch in Warsaw under the SIR (Network for Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas).

 

KozieŁawy (Rypin County):

  • Rudy cheese – first place in the maturing cheese category at the Podlaskie Cheese Festival.

 

Rustic Bakery Confectionery (Karolina Golasz, Torun County):

  • Karolina Gołasz won an honorable mention in the Agricola-Son of the Earth competition in the category of Entrepreneurial woman, socially active woman.

 

The next shopping window will be open from January 27 to February 3. Order pickup at 3 points in Toruń or home delivery are scheduled for February 6.
