Starting Sunday, according to the new schedule

A new direct train connection to Szczecin, seasonal services to Kołobrzeg and Hel, more trains from Bydgoszcz to Mogilno, and from Toruń to Inowrocław—these are the key changes in the new train schedule effective from Sunday, December 15.

“We are pleased to see a growing number of regional residents choosing regional rail as their mode of transportation. With their needs in mind, we are modernizing our rolling stock and consistently working to develop the best possible network of connections,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

In 2025, we will allocate PLN 223.5 million to passenger rail transport—10.5 million more than this year. Trains running under the new schedule will cover 300,000 more kilometers than in 2024. Altogether, the fleet will travel 6.5 million kilometers.

Starting December 15, thanks to the cooperation of the Zachodniopomorskie and Wielkopolskie Regions, the Barnim train began operating between Bydgoszcz Główna and Szczecin Główny stations.

In the summer of 2025, the Rybitwa train service to Kołobrzeg will resume. This popular direct connection was used by 8,000 passengers in 2024. Trips to the Baltic Sea will start at Toruń Wschodni station, with convenient transfers for travelers from Włocławek. A new addition to the schedule is a seasonal service to the Hel Peninsula.

Under the new schedule, the Bydgoszcz–Mogilno route will see seven train pairs (up from four previously). The number of train pairs on the Inowrocław–Toruń route has increased to ten.

Two services to Włocławek, which previously departed from Toruń, will now start from Inowrocław as of December 15.

A new pair of evening trains now operates between Grudziądz and Brodnica, and between Bydgoszcz and Wyrzysk Osiek (via Nakło nad Notecią).

We have also improved connections to Kutno and Łódź. In collaboration with the Łódzkie Region, transfers to trains heading to Łódź have been streamlined in Kutno. Additionally, the first morning train to this city will now depart from Toruń Wschodni station instead of Toruń’s main station.

The new schedule introduces direct services formed by combining shorter routes: Toruń Główny–Grudziądz–Brodnica, Laskowice Pomorskie–Brodnica, and Bydgoszcz Główna–Laskowice Pomorskie–Brodnica. Previously direct connections from Bydgoszcz to Poznań will also operate on weekends.

Special trains will be available during the New Year’s Eve Power of Hits concert, running overnight from December 31 to January 1. These will take passengers from three Toruń stations to Nakło nad Notecią, Tuchola, Mogilno, Jabłonowo Pomorskie, Skępe (Lipno County), and Kaliska Kujawskie (Włocławek County).

In the 2025/2026 schedule, connections to Ciechocinek will be restored, and in 2026/2027, services to Rypin will also return.

Rail connections funded by the regional government are operated by Arriva RP and Polregio under an eight-year contract signed in 2022.
