Social Services Centres to Integrate Social Policy in Municipalities
President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska and Member of the Regional Executive Board Member Dariusz Kurzawa took part in today’s (October 10) ceremony inaugurating the operations of the Social Services Centre of the Inowrocław Municipality. Social Services Centres (CUS) are new municipal organizational units and new institutions of local social policy, designed to support the development and integration of local social services.
The Inowrocław CUS is one of 20 such units that have received support from our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze for their establishment and launch. The grant amounted to 6.6 million PLN.
In our region, 21 such structures are currently operating. A CUS was also established in Toruń, whose organization was financed under our regional programme of the previous financial perspective. Now the city has received funding from FEdKP (7 million PLN) to support its operations.
