At the Musical Theatre in Toruń, those who stand on the front lines of social assistance every day were honored today (25 November). During the gala of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Social Worker competition, with the participation of Marshal Piotr Całbecki, the best professionals in our region were awarded.

“ This is an excellent opportunity to thank all those who support people in need every day – in social welfare homes, occupational therapy workshops, social services centers, or municipal support centres. This is not just a job; it is a true service,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

I. Award winners in the individual category:

• Aurelia Joachimiak, Social Services Centre in Mrocza
• Karolina Sobierajska, Social Services Centre in Lubicz
• Joanna Lipińska, Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Sadki
• Elwira Szcześniak, Social Welfare Home in Nakło nad Notecią
• Karolina Kędzierska, Centre for Child and Family Support in Inowrocław

II. Award winners in the team category:

• Team of social workers from the Social Services Centre in Nakło nad Notecią
• Team of social workers from the Social Services Centre of Inowrocław Municipality
• Team of social workers from the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Barcin

The event was attended by representatives of social welfare centres, county family assistance centers, and laureates of previous editions of the competition. The gala was also attended by Regional Councilor Ewa Kozanecka.

In 2024, 1,139 social workers were employed in social welfare centres and county family assistance centres in our region, proving every day that their mission is genuine care for others.
