Regional Parliament Session on Monday

On Monday, September 29, the session of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Parliament will be preceded by the ceremonial opening of the exhibition “The Extermination of People with Mental Disorders in Occupied Poland. The Beginning of Genocide”, prepared by Tadeusz Nasierowski of the Polish Psychiatric Association. The exhibition is presented in connection with the National Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the German Pomeranian Crime of 1939 and will be available for viewing in the lobby of the Marshal’s Office. The session begins at 11:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live online.

During the proceedings, the Assembly is expected to adopt:

  • a report on the activities of the Youth Regional Assembly,
  • information on the implementation of this year’s agreements of the regional branch of the National Health Fund,
  • a resolution granting the Honorary Badge of Merit for the Region to Magdalena Łubieńska of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society,
  • a position supporting the initiative to establish the Włocławek Polytechnic.

The agenda also includes decisions on financial support for the city of Toruń. The funds are intended for conservation of 90,000 artifacts in the collections of the Toruń Regional Museum, as well as the purchase of specialized equipment for the City Hospital. The hospital plans to introduce CAR-T gene therapy, considered groundbreaking in the treatment of hematologic cancers.

Environmental issues will also be addressed. The Assembly is expected to adopt the Waste Management Plan through 2028, with a perspective for 2029–2034. Such documents are legally required to be updated at least once every six years.
