Discussions, Workshops, Concerts at JP2 Stop (Photo Report)

They speak openly about their past, overcoming crises, and pursuing their dreams. Their life stories read like thrilling novels—films have been made about them, and they serve as an inspiration to others. On Thursday (June 12), traveler Jan Mela and triathlete Jerzy Górski met with young participants of JP2 Stop “Faith, Goodness, Culture” at the European Youth Cooperation Center by Wola Zamkowa in Toruń. The event, organized by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Self-Government, was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and the President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska.

“JP2 Stop is a great opportunity to talk, make new friends, and meet interesting people,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “I am convinced that the patron of our region, Saint John Paul II, can also be an inspiration for today’s young generation.”

“This initiative is special because it points to role models and builds a sense of community. I wish you all an enriching time together,” emphasized President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska.

JP2 Stop featured panel discussions with guests including Jan Mela, Jerzy Górski, Patryk Galewski, and rapper Michał “Pax” Bukowski, as well as workshops organized by the Nauka. To Lubię Foundation, JP2 Laboratory, and the University Center for Personal Support and Development.

In dedicated zones, participants played basketball, competed in sports tournaments, and observed the night sky.

In the evening, concerts by the bands Sunrise and Bryska took place.

JP2 Stop “Faith, Goodness, Culture” was part of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Festival.
