Przystanek JP2 – discussions, workshops, concerts

They speak boldly about their past, overcoming crises and realising their dreams. Their life stories are like sensational books, films have been made about them, and they are an inspiration to others. On 12 June, traveller Jan Mela and triathlete Jerzy Górski will meet at the European Youth Cooperation Centre in Wola Zamkowa in Toruń with young participants of Przystanek JP2 ‘Faith, Goodness, Culture’ – an event organised by the regional government. The event will also be attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and the president of the regional parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska.

From the beginning of John Paul II’s pontificate, his meetings with young people were exceptional. In addition to jokes and anecdotes, there were also conversations on important topics – about faith, challenges and values. The Pope showed young people the path they should follow. I hope that the topics discussed at Przystanek JP2 and the discussions with the invited guests will help young people choose the right path in life,’ said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Przystanek JP2 ‘Faith, Goodness, Culture’ was divided into three parts – discussion panels, workshops and concerts. Invited guests Jan Mela, Jerzy Górski and rapper Michał Pax Bukowski will talk to young people about values, faith and the challenges of adult life.

The event programme also includes popular science workshops conducted by the Nauka. To Lubię Foundation, the JP2 Laboratory and the University Centre for Support and Personal Development. A special zone will host, among other things, sports competitions and sky observations.

In the evening, there will be concerts by the bands Sunrise and Bryska.

The JP2 Stop ‘Faith, Goodness, Culture’ will be held as part of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship Festival.
