Protecting and promoting health together with NGOs
This year, half a million zlotys will go to thirty-two non-governmental organisations for the implementation of tasks in the field of health promotion and protection. The regional government of the voivodeship awarded funding as part of a competition for the realisation of public tasks.
– The promotion of a healthy lifestyle and health protection is one of the important roles of the regional government. That is why every year, in the framework of open competitions, we support non-governmental organisations that carry out activities for the benefit of public health,’ says the voivodeship Marshal, Piotr Całbecki.
Thanks to the support of the regional government, third sector organisations will organise, among other things, thematic conferences addressed to medical specialists, free preventive examinations, actions promoting healthy eating, first aid training and sports activities.
Every year, the Marshal’s Office supports projects implemented by non-governmental organisations in the field of culture, sport, solving addiction problems, social assistance, health care, tourism, activities for the disabled and the development of civil society. This year, more than PLN 6.5 million in funding was distributed through 22 competitions.
