Primates of Kujawsko-Pomorskie with Marshal’s scholarships
More than a thousand students from elementary schools, high schools and music schools will receive scholarships this year as part of the Marshal’s project The Primates of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II. Financial support will also go to talented professionals – a total of more than 1.6 thousand primus will be awarded this year.
– The regional government attaches great importance to the quality of education and does a great deal to ensure that education-related expenses do not unduly burden the budgets of families, especially those of the less affluent. We are committed to ensuring that talented young people have the conditions to fully realize their potential,” stresses Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
We are implementing the scholarship project based on funds from the European Union under the regional program European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021-2027. In the school year 2024/2025, support will go to 1,119 students of the region. The amount of the scholarship ranges from PLN 300 to 500 per month. The support can be used for purposes related to educational development – including the purchase of books, a computer, participation in additional classes and competitions, paying for internet access, travel to school and accommodation.
The most numerously represented schools were University High School in Toruń (140 scholarship recipients), Tadeusz Kosciuszko High School No. IV in Toruń (63), Mikołaj Kopernik High School No. I in Toruń (47), Prof. Stefan Banach High School No. X in Toruń (42), Jan Kasprowicz High School No. I in Inowrocław (37) Jan i Jędrzej Śniadecki High School No. IV in Bydgoszcz (27)
The Primates of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II in numbers:
- 1,119 students will receive scholarships in the 2024/2025 school year
- 431 scholarship recipients are elementary school students, and 688 secondary school students
- the amount of support ranges from 2 to 5 thousand zlotys.
Scholarships awarded by the regional government will also be given to more than half a thousand students of technical and trade schools.
